When the system deals with the data. Security needs to be enabled at different places -
- Database server(s).
- Data stored in the database (like in Tables/Collections).
- Data stored in the backup files.
- Traffic to database server.
- Who can do database ops & who can do what, also puts the system data in risk.
And few more scenarios….
I am putting forth the scenarios, how it can be compromised, how it security can be enhanced, and how it can be tested or monitored.
